There are many parts of the Iditarod that we haven't learned about in class. I am hoping some of my students can do some research about some of them. Here are just a few of the things we haven't talked about:
Iditarod Airforce, Where the Dropped Dogs Go, Awards, Athabaskans and Inupiaqs, Tundra, Boreal Forest, GPS, Drop Bags, etc.
